Dr. Ian Marrero is an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who brings an exceptional level of skill, professionalism and integrity to every patient and every procedure.
Dr. Ian Marrero is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He also has a subspecialty in hand surgery and the Certificate of Subspecialty for Surgery of the Hand.
Dr. Marrero earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and a doctoral degree in medicine from the University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed a residency training in general surgery at the University of Puerto Rico and his specialty training in plastic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also completed his subspecialty training in hand surgery at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center.
His clinical interests are facial, breast and body aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction post cancer and post bariatric reconstructive surgery. He also specializes in hand conditions such as compressive neuropathies and inflammatory tenosynovitis.
